Our privacy commitments

Limited sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers and delivery partners described in this policy, or where the law requires it.

Protected sign-in

Passwords are stored in hashed form, not as readable text, and signing in to the app requires a one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered phone number.

No access to your contacts

The app does not read the contact list stored on your phone. We use only the phone numbers you enter for your account, your members and your delivery addresses.

Notifications are your choice

Push notifications are sent only if you allow them on your device. You can withdraw that permission at any time in your browser or device settings.

Access and deletion requests

You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account and data by writing to [email protected].

Who we are and scope

ADS MED BD (“ADS MED”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates a business-to-business wholesale ordering platform for pharmacies in Bangladesh. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.

It applies to the ADS MED BD customer app used by pharmacy owners and their staff, to this website (adsbangla.com), and to related support communications (together, the “Service”).

The Service is intended for pharmacy businesses and their authorised staff. It is not a consumer or patient service: we do not ask for, and the app does not collect, patient records, prescriptions or other personal health information.

Information we collect

We collect the following types of information when you register for, or use, the Service.

Account and contact information

  • Pharmacy name and the pharmacy owner’s name.
  • Phone number, which is also your sign-in ID, and email address.
  • Your password, which we store only in hashed form.
  • For staff (“member”) accounts created by a pharmacy owner: the member’s name, phone number, email address and password.

Pharmacy licence and identity information

Where you provide it, to verify that an account belongs to a genuine pharmacy business:

  • Drug licence number, its expiry date and a photo or scan of the drug licence.
  • Trade licence number and its expiry date.
  • The pharmacy owner’s National ID (NID) number.

Addresses and delivery details

  • The pharmacy’s address and delivery area.
  • Delivery addresses you save, including the contact person and phone number for each address.

Orders, invoices and payment records

  • Orders you place: products, quantities, prices, discounts and coupons applied, delivery address, remarks, order status and the user who placed the order.
  • Invoices and delivery challans issued for your orders.
  • Payment records: amount, date, payment method (for example cash, bKash, Rocket, Nagad or bank), any reference number, and your outstanding due balance and due limit.
  • Products you mark as favourites.

The app does not collect or store payment card numbers or mobile-wallet PINs.

Device and technical information

  • If you allow push notifications: a push-notification token, an app-generated device identifier and the platform you are using.
  • The date, time and IP address of your most recent sign-in.
  • Technical logs created when you use the Service, such as the requests your device makes to our servers and the delivery status of notifications sent to you.
  • A record of the notifications sent to your account and whether they have been read.

The app also stores a small amount of data in your browser or device so that it works properly: your sign-in session, your cart, your language preference and the device identifier mentioned above.

Website enquiries

If you use the contact form on this website, we receive the name, email address and message you submit.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Create and manage pharmacy accounts and the member accounts linked to them.
  • Verify your pharmacy’s licence and identity details before, and while, you use the Service.
  • Authenticate you, including by sending one-time passwords (OTPs) to your phone for sign-in and password reset.
  • Process, pack, deliver and support your orders.
  • Issue invoices and challans, record payments, and manage dues and due limits.
  • Send service notifications, such as order updates, payment confirmations, verification reminders and announcements.
  • Respond to enquiries and support requests.
  • Protect accounts and the Service against misuse, fraud and unauthorised access, and troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Keep business and accounting records, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Service providers and sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the circumstances below.

Service providers

  • Amar Sheba – our SMS provider for one-time passwords. Your phone number is sent to Amar Sheba so that the OTP can be delivered and checked.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) – used to deliver push notifications. If you allow notifications, your push-notification token and the content of the notification are processed by Google for that purpose.
  • EmailJS and Google reCAPTCHA – used by the contact form on this website to deliver your message to us and to protect the form against spam. reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Content and font delivery services – the website and app load some fonts and scripts from third-party networks such as Google Fonts and jsDelivr. As with any web request, these services receive your IP address when your device loads those files.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies, and some of them may process it on servers located outside Bangladesh.

Delivery

We share the delivery details needed to fulfil an order – such as the pharmacy name, delivery address, contact person and phone number – with our delivery personnel and, for deliveries outside Dhaka, with the courier service used.

Within your pharmacy

Information held in a pharmacy’s account, including its orders, invoices and payments, is available to that pharmacy’s owner and to the member accounts the owner has created.

Legal reasons

We may disclose information where we are required to do so by law or by a lawful request from a competent authority, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, our users or the Service.

Data security

We use the following measures to help protect your information:

  • Passwords are stored in hashed form, not as readable text.
  • Signing in to the app requires both your password and a one-time password sent to your registered phone number.
  • OTPs expire after a short time, and the number of verification attempts and sign-in requests is limited.
  • Access to account data through the app requires an authenticated session.
  • Access by our staff is controlled through role-based permissions.
  • A pharmacy owner can block or remove a member account, which ends that member’s access to the pharmacy’s account.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your password and OTPs confidential and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Your responsibilities

You confirm that the information you provide when using the Service is true, accurate, current and complete, and you agree to update it promptly when it changes. If we have reasonable grounds to suspect that information is untrue, inaccurate or incomplete, we may suspend or stop providing the Service to the account concerned.

If you are a pharmacy owner and you create member accounts for your staff, please make sure those staff members know that their details are being provided to us and are handled as described in this policy.

Access, correction and retention

You can view and update much of your account information in the app. You may also ask us at any time for a record of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing [email protected]. We will take reasonable steps to verify the identity of the person making the request before acting on it.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, including keeping business, accounting and transaction records, resolving disputes, troubleshooting problems, enforcing our terms and complying with applicable law. We keep the information we hold under periodic review.

Account and data deletion requests

If you would like your account or your personal data to be deleted, please send a request by email to:

Please send the request from, or include, the phone number or email address registered on the account. In your request you can ask us to:

  • Delete specific information only (for example, a saved delivery address or a licence photo); or
  • Delete the entire account and the data associated with it.

Deletion is handled by our team on request; there is currently no self-service delete option inside the app. We will verify the identity of the person making the request and then act on it where we are able to. We will complete a verified deletion request within 30 days of receiving it, except for the information described below that we need to keep.

Please note that deletion may not always be complete or immediate. Because of technical limitations, some information may remain for a time in backup copies, and we may need to keep certain records – such as orders, invoices and payment records – where this is necessary to comply with applicable law, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems or enforce our terms. If we are unable to delete something you have asked us to delete, we will tell you.

A pharmacy owner can also remove a member account from within the app. A member account that has placed orders cannot be removed in the app; the owner can block it instead, which ends that member’s access, and can ask us by email to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will publish the revised policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. Where a change is significant, we will also take reasonable steps to let you know, for example through the app.
